FLOG 7 | Steps to Happiness


Hey there,

It is always hard to do what is actually making us happy in life. We found our hobbies that give us joy, but we don't have enough time for them. Yet we have to wait for another weekend to come.

I guess we all need to lean back and reassess our week and what we do and how we do it. Most of it we are spending time at school, university or work. Not always, but often we can choose on whether we create happiness in our daily lives or not. 

I've stumbled upon a blog post on Medium.com which I highly recommend. It provides you a simple, yet effective step-by-step guide on how to set the stage for more flow in your life. Basically the author lists a couple of triggers you need to take a closer look at. I've tried it and (surprise! ;)) it already has had a tremendous positive impact on my mood this week.

In a nutshell there are 8 steps you can apply to achieve immediate success:

1. Choose work (or tasks) you love. 
2. Choose an important task. 
3. Make sure it's challenging, but not too hard. 
4. Find your quiet, peak time. 
5. Clear away distractions.
6. Learn to focus on that task for as long as possible.
7. Enjoy yourself.
8. Keep practicing.
